1939 The resolution was finally carried in the following form t--

(i) That the Council of the Society be requested to consider arrangements for improving the liaison between the Society and the Central Council for Health Education. (ii) That consideration of this matter should include recognition of the following guiding principles : (a) The Society of Medical Officers of Health is keenly alive to the importance of health education and is prepared to co-operate with the Central Council for Health Education to secure the advancement of the public health. (b) The Central Council for Health Education should confine its activities to those originally contemplated by the Society of Medical Officers of Health, namely co-ordination of the work of other organisations carrying on health education and such other propaganda as may be agreed upon between the Central Council and the Council of the Society. The meeting then adjourned at 8.15 p.m.

Casualty Services at the previous Branch meeting would be appearing in the December "issue of PVBLIC H~ALTn, copies of which should be in the hands of all members two or three days later.
