Editorial announcement Effective 1996, Acta Psychologica will publish approximately 25% more material than hitherto. This should help reduce the current publication lag which, owing to an ever increasing supply of good manuscripts, had reached an unacceptable level in recent years. The editors will continue to ensure the timely completion of manuscript reviews providing authors with impartial, reasoned, and constructive feedback on their work. In this way, the editors and publisher intend to keep it being rewarding for authors to submit significant conceptual, empirical, and methodological papers on a wide array of topics which fit and befit the five sections of the journal. By our working to minimize the publication and editorial lags, authors and readers may continue to expect the journal to be at the cutting edge of the field. Maurits W. van der Molen Managing Editor
