Editorial Announcement Readers and authors will have noticed the new format of the Journal of Comparative Pathology, introduced at the beginning of the year 2000. A further important change is now being introduced by the Editorial Board with the assistance of the Publisher: henceforth, the use of colour for photographic illustrations will, if in the Editor’s opinion it enhances the presentation of results, be available at no cost to authors. Careful processing of manuscripts and rapid publication after final acceptance have long been features of the Journal. It is hoped that the availability of free coloured illustrations will further increase its attractiveness to all who use it.
