ITT supplies Oman wastewater facility ITT has been awarded a wastewater treatment plant contract in A'Seeb, Oman for the city of A’Seeb. This contract was awarded to ITT through the project’s general contractor, Hyundai Rotem. ITT will provide a secondary wastewater treatment solution that includes a sewage treatment plant based on continuous flow sequencing batch reactor technology, three main pump stations, two treated effluent pump station facilities, and an integrated control automation system. The plant is scheduled to open in March 2011.
In other company news, ITT has announced a strategic partnership with Mercy Corps, a global relief and development agency, as part of its corporate philanthropy program, ITT Watermark. The partnership includes a three-year, US$1 million commitment to help provide safe water during emergencies created by natural catastrophes. New Trane president Robert Zafari has joined Trane Commercial Systems Europe, Middle East, Africa and India Region (EMAIR) as president. Zafari replaces Gerard Lavery, who was recently appointed to the role of vice president-TCS global operations and

Amarinth appoints Al Ansari as new agent Amarinth has named Al Ansari Trading Enterprise LLC as its agent in Oman. KSB wins major order for German plastics plant KSB has received orders worth several million Euros for pumping equipment for a new plastics producing plant situated at the industrial park of Höchst near Frankfurt, Germany. The order is for 102 standardized chemical pumps, 18 non-clogging impeller pumps and six process
Designer of slurry pumps, GIW Industries, has partnered with polyethylene piping products distributor and manufacturer, ISCO Industries. ISCO will become GIW’s principal distributor in the US for slurry pump sales into the sand and gravel business. In March 2007 ISCO acquired Fraser Mining in Mansfield, Texas, USA, enabling ISCO to expand into a sales model that offered better solutions for the aggregate market. Using this same model, ISCO and GIW aim to provide solutions to customers’ aggregate challenges.
Edwards has increased its industrial service centre located in Strongsville, Ohio, USA. The facility now has the capacity to service the full range of Stokes and Edwards vacuum pumps. Edwards has invested in new tooling, equipment and facilities occupying 25,000 ft2 that will increase production rates and reduce turn-around time.
