Obiectives and Scooe: The amount of energy produced and utilized by a nation is one of the most important considerations when determining its overall development level. Traditionally, the emphasis for producing energy has been on fossil fuels. However, these have some problems associated with them: there is a limit to the amount of fossil fuels present in the earth, they can be (and are) used as instruments of political pressure (especially petroleum), and their use is harmful to the environment. These facts contribute to add new dimensions to the energy problem. Thus it is necessary to consider alternative energy sources. The availability and/or utility of these resources is often strongly dependent on meteorological conditions. The objective of the symposium is to provide a scientific platform for bringing together researchers in all relevant fields, government officials, and industrialists so that they may make an assessment of Turkey's potential for clean energy production. Concentration will be in the following fields: - Hydro-electric energy - Geothermal Energy

- Solar Energy Biomass - Hydrogen Energy -

- Wind Energy - Nuclear Energy
