November 20, 1963 l h e Stated Meeting of The Franklin Institute was held at 8:15 e.~,,z, i:, Fr~mklin H~/I! following a reception and dinner at which approximately 2S8 members axed guests were present. W y n n Laurence LePage, President, called the meeting to order and announced that ~he minutes of the October 16. 1963 Stated Meeting will appear in the November ~0~;?. ia~:~e of th.: JOURNAL and will be presented for approval a t the next stated meeting. The President said the gathering this evening was to honor Thomas B. McCabe, Chairman of the Board of Scott Paper Company, who will receive the Vermilye Medal fo~ hlu lung years of service to industry and the community. The President read the citation accompanying the Medal and presented the Vermilye Medal a n d Certificate of Award to Mr. McCabe, and the~ introduced him as the spcaker. Mr. McCabe spoke on " i n d u s t r i a l Statesmanship in a Changing World." His Laik was enthusiastically received by the audience gathered in Franklin Hall. After expressing deep and grateful appreciation to Mr. McCabe for being with us and for his excellent talk, the President adjourned the meeting at 9:45 P.M. i°ETER IJEYEL1N
