2nd Tutzing antiphospholipid conference PREFACE
Dear Colleagues we welcome you at the Second Tutzing Antiphospholipid Conference (TAC) from 18. to 21. April at Lake Starnberg south of Munich. After the successful first conference in Spring 2002, this meeting will be continued as part of a series of conferences providing a stage for presentation and discussion of the latest advances in the basic and applied research on the Antiphospholipid Syndrome. In the last 2 years, there has been significant progress in the field. One area of special interest, namely the role of infections in the pathogenesis of the APS and its clinical implications will be the major scientific focus of this Second Tutzing Antiphospholipid Conference.

We want to emphasize the workshop character of this meeting and therefore either an oral or a poster contribution of each participant was a premise for joining the conference. In this abstract book you will find all the contributions to the conference. You will find a very instructive and also exciting mixture of clinical and basic science results. We are proud to welcome you in Tutzing in April 2005 and are eager to listen to your presentations.
