Three silver(I) coordination complexes of diaza- and dibenzo-crown ethers, [Ag(DDAC)](CF3SO3) (1), [Ag2(DDAC)(CF3SO3)2]2 (2) and Ag2(DB24C8)(CF3SO3)2 (3), have been synthesized and characterized structurally. The X-ray structure analyses reveal mononuclear complex 1, and dinuclear complexes 2 and 3 based on metaloxygen and metal-nitrogen bonds.

The carboxylate-bridged Cu(II)–M(II) (M=Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) mononuclear entity, polynuclear clusters, extended 1D ladder-like and 2D layer coordination polymers were self-assembled and structurally characterized. The UV–Vis, IR spectra and magnetic properties are reported.
Reaction of Na2[B12H12] with aromatic acylchlorides in boiling acetone results in novel [1-HO-2-ArCOB12H10]2) dodecaborates: The mechanism of the reaction is studied by NMR techniques and the intermediate B is characterized.

Different salts of the homoleptic iron(II) complexes of 3-(pyrazinyl)-1,2,4-triazole and 1-methyl-3-(pyrazinyl)-1,2,4-triazole show varying spin-state regimes, with most of the compounds examined undergoing a spinstate transition upon cooling or warming. Synthesis of these compounds is complicated by autooxidation of the reaction mixtures, yielding in one case an oxo-bridged diiron(III) complex.
Two new molybdenum phosphates [Co(en)3][C4H12N2]0.5[(Mo5O15)(HOPO3)2]Æ3H2O (1), (en=ethylenediamine) and (C4N2H10)5[Co3Mo12O18(HOPO3)6(PO4)2(OH)12(H2O)4] Æ 9H2O (2) have been synthesized hydrothermally. It was demonstrated the threedimensional 2 was synthesized from the zero-dimensional 1 under hydrothermal reaction.
Hydrothermal reaction of Pb(II)X2 (X=Cl), NO3)) and 4,40 -bipyridine in a molar ratio of 1:1 resulted in the formation of two new Pb(II) coordination polymers, 2¥[PbCl2(4,40 bipy)] and 2¥[Pb2(NO3)4(H2O)2(4,40 -bipy)2](4,40 -bipy)2.
Sixteen palladium and platinum dichloride pyridinecarboxaldimine complexes containing fluorine have been prepared and characterized fully. Cytotoxicities of the complexes have been investigated against OV2008 (human ovarian carcinoma) and the analogous cisplatin-resistant cell line C13.

Discrete dimeric o-aminobenzoate and 1Dchain polymeric p-aminobenzoate complexes having a [Cu2(l-OR)(l-O2CR)] core, with the endogenic alkoxide bridge derived from a trianionic pentadentate Schiff base (L), are prepared and structurally characterized. Magnetic studies show antiferromagnetic properties of the complexes.
