On his 90th Birthday, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand would like to wish Professor Tubiana a very happy birthday Chevalier de la Le´gion d’Honneur. Founder member of Groupe d’E´tude de la Main (GEM) in 1963, which took its current name "Socie´te´ Franc¸aise de Chirurgie de la Main" in 1974. Past President of this Society 1973 and 1991 — the only person to have been President twice. Past President of the Socie´te´ FranC¸aise de Chirurgie Plastique et Reconstructive. Past President of the Socie´te´ FranC¸aise d’Orthope´die et Traumatologie. Past President of the International Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand. Honorary Fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association
