Technology, Cambridge, MA. The course will emphasize practical considerations in safe and effective use of these modalities in Medical and Industrial practice, e.g. methods and instrumentation for power measurement, calibration, dosimetry, compliance with Federal and State regulations, etc.

Symposium on Modelling of the Structure and Properties of Amorphous Materials, in conjunction with the I982 TMS-AZME Fall Meeting in St. Louis,

Missouri. This Symposium is being co-sponsored by the Computer Simulation in Materials Science Activity of the ASM and the Nuclear Metallurgy Committee of TMS-AIME. The topics covered in the symposium will include modelling of topological and chemical short range order, electronic structure, defects, mechanical behavior, glass transition, dynamic properties, atomic transport and relaxation in amorphous solids. Each session will consist of several invited papers by distinguished specialists from the U.S., Europe and Japan. A limited number of contributed papers will also be accepted and their abstracts are due by March 1,1982.
