he AORN Scholarship Board selected the 1991-1992 scholarship recipients during its May 20 and 21, 1991, meeting. More than $53,900 was distributed. Recipients received funding based on their scholastic merit, personal goals, commitment to educational growth, and contributions to perioperative nursing and to AORN. Scholarships awarded for this academic year are the Zimmer Educational scholarship ($10,000); the Michael D. Corley Memorial scholarship ($5,000); the Edith D. Hall Memorial scholarship ($5,000); the Edward Weck Surgical Division scholarship ($4,250); the Becton Dickinson Acutecare Operating Room scholarship ($4,000); the Barbara Volpe Memorial scholarship ($2,595); the Davol, Inc scholarship ($2,550); the Frances Ginsberg ( 3 M Health C a r e ) scholarship ($2,500); the Lee Stryker (Stryker Corp) Memorial scholarship ($2,125); the Wilmot Castle (MDT Corp) scholarship ($2,000); the Zimmer Patient Care Division scholarship ($2,000); the Smith & Nephew Richards, Inc scholarship ($1,700); the Devon Industries, Inc scholarship ( $ 1 , 2 4 0 ) ; the Aesculap Educational scholarship ($1,000); the Standard Textile Co, Inc/RePak Surgical Enterprises scholarship ($850); and the Joan Driscoll Memorial scholarship ($827). AORN of Chicago and AORN of Tampa Bay, Florida also contributed to the scholarship awards.
