Conferencesandgroupactivities Interaction
of Electrons
with
Solids
The Vacuum Group of the Institute of Physics is organising a conference on the ‘Interaction of electrons with solids’ at the University of Southampton from 7 to 9 April 1976. It is intended that both fundamental and applied aspects of such interactions will be covered in the meeting. Contributions dealing with electron stimulated sorption, diffusion or reaction at well defined solid surfaces together with electron spectroscopy and relevant instrumentation are solicited. The conference will include a wide range of applications of electron beam effects, as in secondary electron emission, electron microscopy, electron beam machining. IC plasma technology, etc. For further details and application forms contact Dr Brian Hopkins, Physics Dept. University of Southampton, Southampton, Hants SO9 59H.
