ADDENDA Re: Progress in Treatment for Crohn’s Disease, an Editorial, published in the March, 2001 issue on pages 626 – 627. The author acknowledges that the cited work of 1977 demonstrating the efficacy of 6-mercaptopurine in Crohn’s disease (Ref. 2) was performed at Lenox Hill Hospital (New York, NY), with Dr. Burton Korelitz as a primary investigator, and at Mount Sinai Hospital (New York, NY), where Dr. D. Present was the primary investigator. Re: Obesity and Female Gender Increase Breath Ethanol Concentration: Potential Implications for the Pathogenesis of Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis, an Orginal Contribution, published in the April, 2001 issue on pages 1200 –1204. The third author’s name should appear as T. H. Risby. Citation of grant support for K. Cope: training grant T32 ES 07141. Citation of grant support for T. H. Re: Management of Heartburn in a Large, Randomized, Community-Based Study: Comparison of Four Therapeutic Strategies, an Original Contribution, published in the June 2001 issue on pages 1704 –1710. A line was deleted from the second sentence of the Methods section of the article’s abstract. The sentence should read: “Subjects received either ranitidine 150 mg b.i.d. for 20 wk, or lansoprazole 30 mg once daily for 20 wk, or ranitidine 150 mg b.i.d. for 8 wk followed by lansoprazole 30 mg once daily for 12 wk (‘step-up’), or lansoprazole 30 mg once daily for 8 wk followed by ranitidine 150 mg b.i.d. for 12 wk (‘stepdown’).”
