The, Dr. J0rgen Schneider Stiflung" created the International Computer Graphics Prize 1993 to award it to outstanding research work. Those papers are distinguished by their scientific qualification and degree of innovation as well as by their industrial usabilily. The submitted papers (study papers, diploma and doctoral theses, or other scientific papers) have to deal with problems of Computer Graphics and must not be older than two years. Persons and groups of persons who deal with Computer Graphics in practice, teaching and research, and who have not yet reached the age of 36, can apply for the International Computer Graphics Prize. The submitted papers should not have been effher awarded a prize or published. Closing day is June 30. 1993. The presentation of the Prize will be in November 1993. The awarding of the Prizewill be decided by an international independent committee, consisting of personalities from science, economy and the trade press. The decisions of the expert committee are binding. Legal proceedings are eliminated. The International Computer GraphJcs Prize is endowed as follows: 1st Prize 2nd Prize
a six-week study visit at a top research institute for computer graphics in USA, worth approx. DM 10.000
3rd Prize
participation in Eurographics '94 in asia, worth approx. DM 5.000
Especially interesting papers will be published in part or completely by the abovementioned foundation.
