APhA recognizes students ertificates of recognition were beC stowed upon 67 graduating students .from schools and colleges of pharmacy in 42 states and the District of Columbia by the American ,P harmaceutical Association for outstanding service to their student chapters. Upon the recommendations of deans and student chapter faculty advisors, the certificates were presented to those senior students who . have demonstrated leadership and interest in building their stud~nt chapters and conducting chapter activities. ,M embership totals over 13,000 students in 74 APhA student chapters of which many are affiliated with their state pharmaceutical associations. Chicago is the site for the sixth annual midwest regional meeting on October 2 at which presentations on fluid bed drying, color stability, instrumentation of tablet machines, raw material quality control and stabilizers for liquid dosage forms will be given. be «The Square Root of Public 'I nformation," an analysis of the public's resPQnse to medical practices and drugs and the role tv plays in this response. The I'PT section will hold its third annual western regional meeting on October 16 in Los Angeles.
