ird Machine acquires Ketema Tim Probert, the president of Baker Hughes Process Equipment Company (BHPEC), has announced the acquisition of Ketema Process Equipment Company. From May 31, 1996, the operations of Ketema will be merged with Bird Machine Company Inc, which is a division of BHPEC headquartered in South Walpole, Massachusetts, USA. Bird is a manufacturer of liquid/solid separation equipment serving the petrochemical, plastics and minerals industries. Ketema, based in Santee, California, is a leading supplier of liquid/solid separation and drying equipment for the fine chemicals and pharmaceutical industries. Porvair Technology has announced the appointment of Duncan Parks as its new managing director. He takes over from Lew Bingham who has been appointed managing director of Porvair International Limited. Duncan Parks (39) was previously manufacturing director of Porvair International, a post he has held for three and a half years. He gained his first degree
