INFORMATION SEVENTH U.S. N A T I O N A L C O N G R E S S O F APPLIED MECHANICS University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, 3 - 7 June 1974

Nuclear Engineering and Design is cooperating with the Congress of Applied Mechanics, which will not publish its papers, by accepting papers that have nuclear applicability and are also intended to be presented at the Congress for review for possible publication. This intent should be stated in the letter of transmittal of the paper to this journal. The usual 3 copies of the paper are requested, prepared according to our normal requirements (see inside front cover). Such papers should be submitted directly to the appropriate Editor of Nuclear Engineering and Design: in geneal, papers concerned with fluids should be submitted to Professor BoniUa and those concerned with solids to Pro. lessor Jaeger. In case of doubt a paper may be forwarded to the more conveniently located editor. At the same time, a copy of the paper and of the transmittal letter to Nuclear Engineering and Design should go to: Professor S.K. Datta, Chairman, Editoral Committee, Seventh U.S. National Congress of Applied Mechanics, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado 80302, USA. Accepted papers will be published without any delay caused by the date of the Congress. However, all such papers must be received by 1 January, 1974. The general areas of the Congress are rational mechanics, theory of elasticity, and hydro- and aerodynamics.
