Technique et Science Informatiques (TSI) is the official publication of the Technique et Th~orie de l'Informatique division of the French Society for Informatics, Automatic Control, Applied Mathematics and Management Science (AFCET). Its objective is to bring together contributions by data processing specialists from all application areas and professional environments. The following topics appear regularly in TSI: software engineering and programming; computer architecture; languages and compilers; modelling and simulation; operating systems; business data processing; information systems; real-time process control; distributed systems; CAD/CAM; teleprocessing; artificial intelligence; office automation; pattern recognition; numerical software; image processing; algorithmics. Articles appear under three headings: Survey includes reports and reviews on various areas of data processing; Applications brings together descriptions of real experiments; Research includes articles on innovations in all the areas at the forefront of technical progress. The French journal is also being translated cover-to-cover into English and will become available during 1983 in two separate language versions.
